Hardtruth: I also have reason to believe that you have been banned in the past, only to return using a different internet connection. Could you please tell me whether that is the case (here or by e-mail). It seems that there have been other people using this particular connection to write here in the past, if I decide to block you, they will be incapable to post here as well.

From the Religious Propaganda Institute of Statistics:

We have examined the 35 original quotations (‘Thoughts from the Teacher’) at Ollie 343 and classified them in the following manner:

28 quotes promoting the “Teacher” and his “School” (I am present, I am a conscious being, I can see what is in front of me, I have immortal vision, I do not think—that is my virtue, I can see Influence C’s plans, the highest religion ever given to man etc.)
26 quotes where “theTeacher” makes unverifiable claims
15 quotes praising the high level of consciousness of “theTeacher
9 quotes promoting the uniqueness of the “School” and its messianic role
9 quotes where “theTeacher” stresses the difference between himself and the rest of humanity
9 quotes promoting the wisdom of “the Teacher”
8 quotes where “the Teacher” praises the love bond between him and his “students”
6 quotes where “the Teacher” makes unverifiable predictions
5 quotes demeaning other spiritual teachers and traditions
5 quotes concerning the future of the “Ark” (There will be lots of festivities and conscious democracy, Apollo will be made of brick. The longer the “Teacher” lives the better, in ten thousand years “the Teacher” and his “students” may meet again)
3 quotes dealing with the practical aspect of his “students” work (You will start to alter your essence, eat things that you did not grow up eating, gain more experience with wine and move towards a Mediterranean aesthetic. To take out the refuse and sweep the floors can make you conscious. You may turn down the air-conditioning, as long as you do it with presence. It is so important to do your work in private.)
Dear “students”, your “Teacher’s” teaching priorities are self-evident.
Above everything: It is within the “Teacher’s” power to make his students immortal. Immortality is yours—and it cannot be achieved in any way other than that which the “Teacher’s” Gods dictate. You just have to accept their methods.
Good luck to you all.

hardtruth:
Thanks for that. Yup, that was me. I'm an oddball, no argument there.

What I have learned is that being satisfied with myself wards off depression, doom, and gloom. That's healthy narcissism. Then I don't have to project all my inadequacies onto others as zealots do. Nobody's perfect. I can accept that about myself and still manage to like myself, too.

Actually, I objected to a woman calling Robert my teacher. Teachers teach independence. He's a cult leader, and I am no longer a follower in his cult. I suggested she stop calling herself and his followers students. It's demeaning.

You know, I have memory of you, too. Once as I was getting out of a truck, you did a fake karate kick in my direction sending the mud from your boots right into my eyes, temporarily blinding me.

So "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."
~Gandhi (according to you the guy with a cap up his ass.)

So do we move on or does it satisfy you to play tit for tat?

Regarding #361 David B.

Hello David,
Yes, I still read the blog periodically to check in on anything that might be juicy. I've been enjoying veronicapoe's thematic contributions. I grew up on all those shows, so it's funny for me. IMO she's done a great job of showing how silly Robert's "connecting the dots" comments are.

There are lots of interesting links that people post, which can be useful, but as far as bringing down the FOF, I think the blog has gone about as far as it can. It's up to the "believers" that still continue to stay in the FOF to be the final blow. More of them need to "wake up" to Robert's nonsense and leave that house of deceit.

Anyway, I like David B.'s and Vena's comments... 361, 362. I doubt we'll be able to avoid contention and disagreement here, and I'm not sure we really want to avoid it -- but blogs do tend to veer off into strange directions at times. This one, being no exception, especially when you consider the topics we're discussing.

"Kid Shelleen:

What’s the difference between breathing in and breathing out?"

Whalerider,

As my enlightened alter-ego, Benny Lava says:

"The answer to this and much, much more can be yours --- at a price (donation guidelines to follow).

But in direct reply to your very real and heartfelt question concerning the difference between breathing in and breathing out, let me offer you this one small piece of FREE advice:

You must first realize that all esoteric knowledge places the world, as you know it, on its head, and you must accept the fact that true ancient wisdom confounds the reasoning faculty of the mind. As these truths become integrated into your Noggin' Organum, you will see this truth as clearly as it is reflected in the rearview mirror of my Bently:

In order to fully awaken from this bitter sleep and attain the next realm on the Life-A-Go-Round(tm), you must reverse this process of breathing in and breathing out.

The true enlightened being breathes Out, then In.

Sorry duckies, there's just no other way. The only hope I can offer is the use of my Teacher's (Werner Airhart), Teacher's (GI Gurdjieff or PT Barnum, the true linage is lost in the sands of time) method that I've up-dated for modern western sensibilities and call "Reverse Your Breathing and Grow Rich."

Here's some awakened comments from satisfied users:

"I wish I had known of this method sooner, perhaps I would have crystalized in '72 and expanded my prime earning years."-- R.B., Oregon House, CA

"Oprah's not going to believe this!"--E.T., Vancouver, Can.

"If only there was someone here to reap the rewards of this timely tome."-- Ady, San Francisco, CA

So, I leave you to contemplate the eternal question: What price my soul?"

Wow, I'm always exhausted after channeling Benny. Think he used enough colons in this post? Oh, well, gotta go.

As TruthHard would say: Have a nice day...In Hell!

358 whalerider:

"Here’s a guy brandishing some hard truth, too:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imge:Talibanbeating.jpg"

I remember you in the Lincoln Lodge one afternoon about a quarter of a century ago. Vain and self-righteous as usual, going on in a loud voice, loud enough so that others at surrounding tables were turning around to look at you, about how much you had learned "traveling" with Burton. You repeated the phrase nearly a half-dozen times, "What I have learned," lost in the same self-satisfied oddballness that you display here on the blog. I remember wondering to myself exactly what secret knowledge you were acquiring and why it was obviously not profound enough to instruct you in curtailing your vanity at least in public. A quarter of a century later you now loudly disavow the instruction that you were so boisterously proud of then. Speaking of the Taliban, you just recently violently objected to a woman using the word "student" in reference to the teacher you once felt so appreciative of.

375 Kid Shelleen

“Anyone know the difference between an ascending and a descending octave?”

Ascending:

Do Re Me Fa So La Ti Do

Descending:

Do Ti La So Fa Me Re Do

That’s all.

-------------------------------------------

By the way, whenever we talked about "octaves," we often talked about mi-fa intervals as though we could easily recognize them through our "precise knowledge and understanding," and through our supposed powers of "observation."

Same with Ti Do intervals (or "Si" Do intervals). It was a type of "scientific fact" that demonstrated our complete grasp of the cosmos, and definitely proved our connection to higher forces. Amen.

But I sometimes found it interesting that the "octave" that we talked about was just one type of octave -- a major scale in Ionian mode. But there are six other modes, with intervals that don't fall between Mi Fa and Ti Do. Lydian mode, for instance, or Dorian mode, or Mixolydian mode. Very different feelings or"moods" to them. And in those modes, we wouldn't be saying, "We must be in a Mi Fa interval here," because the intervals land between two other notes, not the Mi and the Fa.

And yet, we in all our wisdom, saw the entire universe only in Ionian mode, only in Mi Fa intervals and "Si" Do intervals.

I wouldn't be surprised if we were given a glimpse of the truth with the Fourth Way, but like so many other ideas, I sense that much of it was an organized piece of nonsense, and that because it was organized, it gave us a sense that we understood the world. We did somewhat understand the world and ourselves, but then lost that understanding as soon as we believed what we understood was "It" with a capital "I."

Through that notion, that we had found the big It, we lost the ability to see the mystery in the world -- the ability to see things for the first time. Which is what you need to really "appreciate" the arts, sciences, and philosophies that we studied in the fof.

With that sense of mystery gone, and dead, we learned nothing.

And yet, we in all our wisdom, saw the entire universe only in Ionian mode, only in Mi Fa intervals and “Si” Do intervals.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we were given a glimpse of the truth with the Fourth Way, but like so many other ideas, I sense that much of it was an organized piece of nonsense, and that because it was organized, it gave us a sense that we understood the world. We did somewhat understand the world and ourselves, but then lost that understanding as soon as we believed what we understood was “It” with a capital “I.”

Through that notion, that we had found the big It, we lost the ability to see the mystery in the world — the ability to see things for the first time. Which is what you need to really “appreciate” the arts, sciences, and philosophies that we studied in the fof.

With that sense of mystery gone, and dead, we learned nothing.
